Most people like sweets in the morning, but I never have. I'm more of an eggs and coffee kind of guy. That's why I never got into smoothies until I discovered coffee and peanut butter together. This is my go-to weekend breakfast and one of my favorite ways to get crickets into my diet.

This is the smoothie for people who don't love fruit smoothies. And with a little kick from the coffee, it's a nice pick-me-up in the morning.

Ingredients
-
1 Banana - frozen if possible
-
¾ c. Cauliflower - frozen (can sub ½ c. ice)
-
1 Tbsp. Peanut butter - Any nut or seed butter works, as does powdered peanut butter
-
1 Tbsp. Pure Cricket Powder
-
½ Tbsp. Cocoa powder
-
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
-
¾ c. Iced coffee
-
¼ c. Milk (I like unsweetened coconut milk)
Directions
Pile everything into your blender, adding the coffee and milk last.
Blend until desired consistency
Enjoy!
Recipe Note
Adjust the amount of liquid as-needed to change the thickness of the smoothie. I like them pretty thick because it feels more like a milkshake :-)
